Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports, yesterday said he sustained four broken ribs, a broken clavicle and a concussion when his seat broke loose during a runway-departure accident on October 31.

Rick Hendrick, owner of Nascar team Hendrick Motorsports, his wife, and the two crewmembers suffered minor injures when their Gulfstream G150 overran the runway while landing last night at Key West (Fla.) International Airport. The jet, N480JJ, is registered to Jimmie Johnson, who drives for Hendrick Motorsports. Unconfirmed media reports indicate that the aircraft brakes failed on landing.

The NTSB in its final report released this morning said the crew of a Hendrick Motorsports King Air 200 lost situational awareness and overflew Martinsville/Blue Ridge Airport, Va., before crashing on Oct. 24, 2004. IMC prevailed and the turboprop twin had been cleared for the Localizer Runway 30 approach.
