Rockwell Collins last month announced plans to acquire AR Group and its affiliated companies, which includes business aviation trip support services provider Air Routing International. Under the agreement, Rockwell Collins will acquire all of AR Group’s shares for an undisclosed amount. The transaction was expected to close late last month or early this month.

Kuwait-based low-fare carrier Jazeera Airways has selected U.S. avionics manufacturer Rockwell Collins (Stand E350) to supply avionics and in-flight entertainment (IFE) systems for 30 Airbus A320s, deliveries of which are set to start in January. The airline already operates 10 Airbus A320s, which are fitted with 165 leather seats in two classes: Jazeera class and Jazeera Plus class.

Deliveries of turbine-powered business airplanes will continue to fall through the end of next year before beginning a slow but steady recovery in 2011, according to a market forecast released by avionics maker Rockwell Collins. The outlook projects that around 600 turbine business airplanes will roll out of factories next year, with the market remaining relatively flat in 2011 and 2012 before rebounding to pre-recession levels in 2013.
