Air Partner applied Land Rover branding to the  ­wet-leased A319s it used for the car maker’s flights.

London Gatwick-based Air Partner played a leading role in a major logistics operation when Land Rover chose Marrakech, Morocco, to present its new, fourth-generation Range Rover to some 7,000 dealers from 53 countries. The operation was carried out in conjunction with the UK car manufacturer and marketing agency P&MM.

Air Partner wet-leased two Airbus A319s from Adria Airways of Slovenia to make 126 dedicated charter flights over 60 flying days covering a period between September and mid-December last year. Air Partner has not advertised its involvement until now.

London-based Design Q has taken its work creating private jet cabins to a new level. Ground level, that is. The latest is a stretched Range Rover that the company says “will allow VIPs to travel in exactly the same comfort on the ground as in the air.”

L-3 Communications (Hall 4 Stand 18, Chalet A16-18) is showing a new, handheld version of the Rover device that has rapidly become essential kit for allied ground troops directing airstrikes in Iraq and Afghanistan. The company has already delivered some 4,000 of the previous, laptop-size Rover 3 and 4 versions, which display video feeds from various airborne platforms.
