Electrical accessory and instrument MRO provider Freedom Aero Service (Booth No. C11949) has relocated into a unique, historical building in the McClellan Business Park, formerly part of McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento, Calif. “The building we are in was built in 1898,” said Scott Durham, president of the company. “It’s historically protected on the outside, but it is 23,900 square feet of totally rebuilt and modernized facility for repairing and overhauling electronic accessories and instruments on the inside.”
McClellan Jet Services at McClellan Airfield north of Sacramento, Calif., has joined the Shell Aviation fuel network and will offer customers Shell AeroClass rewards. The FBO is housed in an 8,000-sq-ft terminal building and offers 220,000 sq ft of hangar space.
While other aviation maintenance companies have been struggling, Mather Aviation has been able to expand, Victor Cushing, owner and president, told AIN.
Carlsbad, Calif.-based FBO Jet Source has selected Air BP as its primary fuel supplier. Jet Source offers 120,000 sq ft of hangar space, 35,000 sq ft of office space and, for visiting pilots, a state-of-the-art media room, as well as full maintenance, avionics, aircraft sales and charter/management services. Millville Jet Center in New Jersey also chose Air BP as its fuel supplier.
Elliott Aviation’s four FBOs, Millville Jet Center and Sacramento Jet Center’s two FBOs are now branded Air BP fuel sellers. Elliott Aviation, founded in 1936 and family owned since then, has FBOs and maintenance facilities in Moline, Ill.; Minneapolis; Des Moines, Iowa; and Omaha, Neb.
Mather Aviation of Sacramento, Calif., became an authorized line maintenance facility for Learjets.
Based at Mather Airport near Sacramento, Mather Aviation’s Rancho Cordova facility has a staff of 40 factory-trained technicians who offer 24-hour AOG assistance, line maintenance and avionics service. The company has an 86,000-sq-ft maintenance hangar and 25,000-sq-ft storage hangar.

On October 3, corporate aircraft sales and management company Axis Jet announced the opening of a new Part 135 air charter division based at Sacramento Executive Airport in California. Catering to business and leisure travelers, Axis Jet’s charter fleet consists of three King Airs–a 350, a 300 and C90B.
