The pilot made an emergency landing after the turboprop single suffered engine and instrument failure during a Part 91 flight from San Luis Obispo Airport to Fresno-Yosemite Airport. After the power-off touchdown at Lost Hills-Kern County Airport, the TBM overran the runway and shed its nosegear. The aircraft sustained substantial damage to its wings and fuselage. The owner-pilot and four passengers were uninjured.

Later this year, San Luis Jet Center will begin construction on a new FBO at San Luis County Regional Airport on the Central California coast. The design work is nearly finished for the facility, which includes a 24,734-sq-ft FBO and two hangars enclosing 55,200 sq ft. Aviation Consultants’ five Citation Excels and two Citation Xs will be based in the hangars, which will also house the company’s ACI Jet Solutions maintenance facility.

Beech King Air 300, Houston, Texas, May 18, 2003–At 9:30 a.m. CDT King Air N2SM was substantially damaged during a positioning flight when it overran Runway 33 at West Houston Airport, Texas. The sole-occupant ATP-rated pilot received minor injuries. N2SM was registered to OSO-RIO LLC of Houston. The aircraft departed William P. Hobby Airport 30 minutes before the accident, with Las Vegas as its final destination.

On November 15, Runway 1-19 at Charles Wheeler Downtown Airport (MKC) in Kansas City, Mo., reopened following extensive work.
