Bombardier Aerospace has begun construction on a factory-owned and -operated service center for business aircraft at Singapore Seletar Airport. Set to enter service in next year’s second quarter, the facility will include 31,500 sq ft of hangar space and 28,800 sq ft of office space and back shops. According to a Bombardier spokeswoman, it will be capable of performing a variety of light to heavy maintenance tasks on Learjets, Challengers and Globals.

Dallas Airmotive recently opened a regional turbine center at Singapore’s Seletar Aerospace Park.

Dallas Airmotive has opened a regional turbine center (RTC) on Singapore’s Seletar Aerospace Park. It offers authorized Honeywell major periodic inspection service for the TFE731 and line maintenance on TFE731, CFE738 and HTF7000 engines and on 36-series, RE100 and RE220 APUs. The facility is also a First Support global technical support center to handle AOG and other field-related service requests.

Bombardier Aerospace will open a company-owned and -operated service center in Singapore next year. “Singapore has the advantage of being a strategic location; it is more central in the Asia Pacific region than Hong Kong. Also in its favor, it has a skilled workforce in place and there is a longstanding aerospace presence at Seletar Airport,” a spokesman for Bombardier told AIN.

ST Aerospace has begun construction on an expansion to its facility at Singapore’s Seletar Aerospace Park. It will include a general aviation hangar, simulator center for pilot training, facilities for aviation technical training and a VIP facility for air charter customers. ST Aerospace expects to complete the project by year-end. The 42,600-sq-ft hangar will double current capacity to service business jets, helicopters and light aircraft.

ST Aerospace broke ground on a $26 million expansion of its complex at Singapore’s Seletar Aerospace Park on Tuesday. The additions will include a purpose-built general aviation aircraft hangar, pilot-training simulator center, facilities for aviation technical training and a VIP area for air charter customers. The company expects all of the new buildings to be finished by year-end.

Bombardier Aerospace (Chalet CD61) is to open a company-owned and operated business aircraft service center at Singapore’s Seletar Airport in 2013. The new regional center will offer light maintenance tasks for all Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft, and will be the OEM’s customer services hub for the Asia Pacific region. The facility forms part of Bombardier’s future customer service strategy.
