Oil and gas giant Shell has excluded Bond Offshore Helicopters from a tender for helicopter services in the North Sea in which Bond was participating. Shell explained that the recent Eurocopter EC225 ditching event requires additional review, a process it has deemed too lengthy for the tender’s timeline.

Shell Aviation and Avfuel have formed a marketing alliance under which each will accept the other’s charge cards, effectively doubling the number of accepting locations to 1,300 in 85 countries. The new arrangement takes effect on November 1.
After an absence of nearly 20 years, Shell Aviation announced its return to the U.S. general aviation market last month. “This is not just a trial run,” said Shell Aviation North American vice president Rick Woods. “We plan to be here for the long haul.”
Woods said fuel and other Shell products are now available at 284 branded FBOs across the country following the completion of a reseller agreement with Eastern Aviation Fuels.
Shell Aviation (Booth No. 420) is preparing to offer its Shell Card to clients in Germany, France and Austria beginning later this year and is looking at what else it can do to boost the benefits its customers can derive through advanced information technology (IT) in the purchasing process.
