Standard Aero, a Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Engineering company, is marking its 40th anniversary of service on the Rolls-Royce 250 turboshaft engine.

According to the company, it began work on the original 250 engine in 1967 and since that time has become the largest 250 service provider in the world, with maintenance facilities in North America, Singapore and Australia.

Nordam has signed a five-year agreement with Cathay Pacific Airways to repair and overhaul the airline’s Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engine thrust reversers and pivot doors. The company teamed with the airline to develop the repair capabilities and completed the first units last December.

Parker Aerospace (Hall 4 Stand A16) returns to Farnborough International this year rejuvenated by a string of recent contract signings and the opening of a joint venture with Singapore’s SIA Engineering Co. Christened Aerospace Component Engineering Services (ACE Services), the partnership with SIA was consummated with the opening of an $11.9 million, 32,000-sq-ft facility located at Loyang Aerospace Park near Singapore Changi Airport.

Borrowing from its established Custom Build Standard for Rolls-Royce Allison 250 engines, Standard Aero (Booth No. 3621) has introduced its new Optimum Build Standard for all engines and modules processed at its facilities.
