StandardAero Business Aviation has named Kevin Malutinok and Melissa Maddox, respectively, as the new vice presidents and general managers of the company’s Springfield, Ill. and Houston, Texas facilities. They will be responsible for the sales and operational performance of each of their businesses. Malutinok comes to StandardAero from Dassault Aircraft Services in Wilmington, Del., where he served as the site’s vice president and general manager.
StandardAero is now offering TFE731 heavy maintenance, repair and overhaul out of its 265,000-sq-ft production and support facility in Springfield. “We’re driving our business aviation unit back to our customer’s needs. We’d taken our eye off that mark and in the 12 months since last year’s NBAA we’ve done everything we said we would do,” Scott Taylor, senior v-p of business aviation, told AIN.
StandardAero’s Springfield, Ill. facility will be getting $500,000 worth of sprucing up, according to a spokesman for the company. “We have an on-going, company-wide process in which our facility managers maintain a dialog with our leaseholders. Our Springfield facility is fairly old and not the image we’d like to portray. So the Springfield Airport Authority has agreed to make the investment in the infrastructure,” he told AIN.
