AAG has more than 20 years experience providing helicopter and fixed-wing charter flights, fractional ownership programs and helicopter maintenance services for locations at Teterboro, New York and Philadelphia, and it operates and owns a Part 145-approved Sikorsky certified repair center at Dutchess County Airport, New York.

Apple, Android and BlackBerry owners operating Sikorsky aircraft have a new tool to help them interface with Sikorsky Aerospace Services. SAS has launched new mobile applications for the Sikorsky360 Web portal, a proprietary online support capability currently used by more than 4,000 operators globally.

Strong deliveries of the S-92 medium twin will boost civil activity at Sikorsky this year, according to recently released 2011 results and 2012 outlook. President Jeff Pino is expecting S-92 handovers to leap by 42 percent and overall civil deliveries by approximately 30 percent.

This year’s plans call for delivery of approximately 260 civil and military rotorcraft, with civil revenue expected to exceed $1.1 billion. Operating profits are predicted to be in the $50 million to $75 million range, down from $820 million last year.

Orders are up overall, as of December 2011, and with the worldwide fleet of large helicopters now averaging 30 years old, or older, he expects more helicopter orders are imminent. Sikorsky Aircraft completed a “minority equity investment” in Albuquerque, N.M.-based Eclipse Aerospace yesterday. Neither company disclosed the value of the deal. An agreement “in principle” for Sikorsky to take a “substantial” minority stake in Eclipse was revealed in October at the NBAA Convention, and since then both parties have remained mum on the deal until yesterday’s announcement.

Sikorsky Aerospace Services last month announced the acquisition of LifePort and the simultaneous creation of an “accessories business segment.” The Woodland, Wash.-based aircraft accessories manufacturer specializes in air medical systems, lightweight armor, interior furnishings and galley equipment for both fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft. LifePort will retain its name and current executive management team, Sikorsky said.

Sikorsky Aerospace Services (SAS), an aftermarket division of Sikorsky Aircraft, has acquired Woodland, Wash.-based LifePort, a major accessories manufacturer specializing in air medical systems, interior furnishings and lightweight armor for fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters. The acquisition further strengthens SAS’s accessories business segment.
