Forecast International president Douglas Nebinger, 58, died at his home on May 15. He worked for the aerospace intelligence products company for the past 32 years. He was named Forecast International’s executive vice president in 1992, and in February 2003 was promoted to president, a position where he oversaw the company’s day-to-day activities.
Flight Display Systems of Alpharetta, Ga. (Booth No. 717), is at Heli-Expo 2010 to introduce a high-definition (1080P) digital video recorder (HD-DVR) “designed for rugged aviation use.” It features up to eight hours of recording time, with a 50-percent smaller installation profile than legacy VHS recorders.

GlobalAir.com last month announced the addition of a winds-aloft forecast to the national weather section of its airport resource center. The new section includes a forecast of wind and temperature at specific altitudes.
