Airbus introduced the latest operator to add an Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ) to its charter fleet at NBAA. Tyrolean Air Services (TAS) of Innsbruck, Austria, has taken delivery of an ACJ318.
Some 30 operators are now evaluating executive and corporate shuttle versions of the Fokker 100 twinjet (the F100EJ and F100CS, respectively), according to Fokker Services–a subsidiary of the Stork group that bought the assets of the bankrupt Dutch airframer and is marketing the converted airliners at prices ranging from $11 million to $12.5 million. The airplanes are also available for lease through UK-based Aravco.
The ERA has named Spanish operator Air Nostrum its Airline of the Year for the fourth time in nine years. Factors influencing the selection included innovative finance arrangements covering Air Nostrum’s acquisition of Bombardier CRJ900s and participation in satellite navigation trials.
Tyrolean Jet Services of Innsbruck is here at EBACE for the sixth time, exhibiting its charter expertise to attendees (Booth No. 526). Austria’s oldest executive aircraft operator and the largest in the western part of the country, Tyrolean was founded in 1976 as the flight department of the Swarovski Group–manufacturer of crystal, jewelry and optical systems.
