General Dynamics has appointed Daniel Clare, former senior v-p and CFO of its Gulfstream subsidiary, president of its Jet Aviation Group. He replaces Peter Edwards, who stepped down in June. Jet Aviation also made several changes to the leadership in its EMEA and Asia divisions.

Daher-Socata CEO Stéphane Mayer has added the title of president, replacing François Lépinoy, who will become president of the executive board for the Air Caraïbes Group.
Jean-Paul Ebanga has assumed the role of president and CEO of CFM International, the joint venture between Snecma and General Electric. Most recently, he served as chairman and CEO of PowerJet, a joint venture between Snecma and Saturn (Russia).

GlobalAir.com, an online resource for aircraft buyers and sellers and aircraft operators, is celebrating its 15th anniversary at the NBAA show. The company launched in late 1995 in the apartment of pre-owned-aircraft broker Jeff Carrithers, under the name Global Aviation Navigator. At the time, FBOs and other aviation businesses were just beginning to acquire dial-up modems and use the Internet.
AAI Acquisition, which purchased the assets of bankrupt Adam Aircraft Industries earlier this year, has named aviation industry veteran Jack Braly the company’s new president and CEO.
Two new programs designed to enhance FBO operations have been inaugurated by Chevron Aviation. One of these, called TotalGA, is designed to be a private online fuel ordering marketplace for customers. The other, the Alliance Program, is a purchase card designed to enhance the ability of FBOs and flight departments to buy Chevron products and services and access accounting data.

When 23-year-old Barrington Irving needed flight handling and fuel sourcing for his 26,800-mile flight around the world, Universal Weather & Aviation chairman Greg Evans offered to donate his company’s services. Irving, who founded nonprofit Experience Aviation to promote aviation careers, flew a modified Columbia 400 with 160 gallons of usable fuel, departing from Miami on March 23 and returning on June 27.
Universal Weather & Aviation, which provides a variety of preflight and in-flight services, has also set up FBO facilities at 15 locations in Europe over the last few years.
