Hartzell Propeller introduced its own line of de-ice components to support the entire line of Hartzell propellers. Hartzell is marketing its new components as replacements for third-party manufactured parts, including boots, wire harnesses and slip rings. Hartzell boot replacements are under warranty until 18 months or 2,000 flight hours. Other de-ice components are covered for 12 months or 1,000 flight hours.
Enstrom Helicopter of Menominee, Mich., is doubling its warranty on all its turbine and piston rotorcraft to two years or 1,000 hours. In addition, the company said all gearboxes are “fully prorated for their published lifetimes.” At Heli-Expo in March, Enstrom announced a single-piece tail-rotor pitch link on the company’s three- to five-seat 480B light turbine helicopter.
Helicopter owners who use after-market parts made by Extex (Booth No. 3109) under the FAA’s PMA (parts manufacturer approval) rules can now benefit from the company’s new customer assurance program (CAP).
To increase the level of support customers receive, Dassault Falcon recently doubled its replacement parts warranty and merged its help desk operations and field technical representatives organization into one department, called technical support. John Loh, previously manager of field service, was named director of technical support.
