FlightSafety International and the Mayo Clinic have teamed to develop a new training program for hypoxia awareness. Under the contract, FlightSafety will install Mayo-designed training equipment at some of its learning centers.

International Water-Guard, a specialist in aircraft water treatment and water systems, has signed an agreement with UK-based Reheat International of Alton, Hampshire, for distribution and maintenance of its water-treatment products for European business aviation. “Business aviation is on a growth curve and we wanted to ensure maximum penetration of one of its largest regions,” said David Fox, president and CEO of International Water-Guard.
It’s one of the world’s more exclusive clubs, made up of pilots whose job in the growing world of luxury superyachts is helicopter operations.
No one seems to know exactly how many pilots are actively engaged in this calling, but best estimates put the number at barely 50, based on the fact that no more than 50 superyachts worldwide can support helicopter operations.
The end product may not be Perrier, but it’s just as tasty and just as clean. It’s what comes out of the business end of International Water Guard’s (IWG) ultraviolet water treatment units, and the Burnaby, B.C. company has just shipped its 1,000th unit.
