On an unused corner of James A. Richardson International Airport in Winnipeg, Manitoba, a massive structure has emerged, the newest test cell in GE Aviation’s stable.
StandardAero has added PW100 engine maintenance, repair and overhaul capability in Winnipeg, Canada. Pratt & Whitney Canada has approved the site as a PW100 designated overhaul facility.
StandardAeroís Winnipeg facility has been approved by Pratt & Whitney Canada as a PW100 designated overhaul facility. The facility also supports the PT6. The European service center team in Tilburg, The Netherlands, will continue to support PW100 and PT6A hot-section-level work, including full accessory capability, a comprehensive test cell and field service support.
Operators of the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW100 turboprop now have another choice for hot section inspections. In April, Standard Aero received Transport Canada approval to perform PW100 hot-section inspections at its Winnipeg facility. The North American PW100 service center was previously located at Standard Aero’s Maryville, Tenn. facility.
