The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) still has concerns regarding new requirements for improved flammability characteristics of retrofitted thermal/acoustic insulation. This final rule significantly narrowed the scope of the requirement. However, in comments to the FAA, the association said hundreds of parts catalogs now contain part numbers that no longer comply with this rule.

The board is .18 inches thick (.63 inches, including diodes) and 1.13 inches wide. According to the New Berlin, Wis. company, it is ideal for mounting in tight spaces, such as lens-covered headliner lighting. The ELW61 is step-dimmable, with a variable dimming option.
