As a dramatic contrast to the usual way of opening an air display, this 60th anniversary event features the first all-female parachute jump team to appear at a Farnborough International airshow. Known as the Aero Sekur Shooting Stars, the Italian team of skydiving women will open the show on each day to gracefully and silently provide a unique curtain raiser.

When Atlantic Aviation v-p Sue Sommers checked into her hotel in Cancun, Mexico, on vacation last year, she was greeted with a cold drink by a friendly, knowledgeable local concierge before she could even make it to the check-in counter. That planted the seed, and the idea has blossomed into Atlantic’s concierge program. Atlantic plans to have concierges greeting passengers and pilots at the four largest of its eight FBOs.

Standard Aero (Booth No. 4621) is now offering a Rolls-Royce-approved repair procedure for the Model 250 Series II first-stage Mar-M nozzles and Series IV second-stage turbine nozzles. The company also announced a new modification for Roll-Royce 250 Series III and IV air/oil separator gears.
