In honor of the second anniversary of the launch of the Teterboro Airport Working Group’s “Pledge to the Community” program–which has as its mission improving the airport’s relations with its neighbors– aviation industry representatives, New Jersey politicians and representatives of the airport’s governing agency, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, met to take stock of the program’s efficacy.
A spokesman for U.S. Helicopter said the company could resume flights from New York’s Wall Street heliport early next year. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia yesterday granted a petition by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to order a stay of the FAA’s plans to auction takeoff and landing slots at Newark Liberty International Airport and New York JFK and La Guardia Airports.
Cessna 172 and Dassault Falcon 200, Teterboro, N.J., July 9, 2008–The NTSB blamed the Teterboro Airport (TEB) runway incursion on the ground controller’s failure to instruct the pilot of the Cessna 172 that was taxiing in after landing to hold short of Runway 24, on which the Falcon had been cleared for takeoff by the tower controller.
