The EFI-890H with rotorcraft-specific symbology including Vision-1+ SVS, is the centerpiece of a newly integrated digital flight deck destined for five Republic of Panama Bell 212s.

The U.S. Army has extended its contract with Rockwell Collins for additional Transportable Black Hawk [helicopter] Operations Simulators (T-BOS) to meet a growing need for bringing training to where soldiers are operating.
The $35 million extension calls for deliveries through 2015. LeAnn Ridgeway, Rockwell Collins v-p and general manager for simulation and training, said, “T-BOS’s mobile nature saves time and resources by taking training to pilots in the field. It is the only U.S. Army-accredited flight training device for the UH-60M aircraft.”

Roku recently unveiled a new solution to a better smart TV–the Roku Streaming Stick. The wireless device is about the size of a standard USB flash drive that will plug into MHL-enabled HDMI television ports, allowing it to deliver power and other critical elements for the streaming experience.

Michael Harkins has joined Dallas Airmotive as regional engine manager for the Mid-Atlantic states. An A&P mechanic and IA, he will be responsible for selling repair and overhaul services on the Honeywell TFE731, Honeywell 36 series APU and Pratt & Whitney Canada PW305. His Air Force career culminated as crew chief on the B-52G. Most recently he was director of maintenance for Aero Taxi in New Castle, Del.

StandardAero has signed an exclusive maintenance agreement with Slovenia’s Adria Airways for its Honeywell RE220 and GTCP36-150RJ APUs. Slovenia’s flag carrier operates four CRJ900s fitted with RE220 APUs and six CRJ100/200s fitted with GTCP36-150RJ APUs. Beyond the manufacturer itself, StandardAero is the only independent maintenance, repair and overhaul provider authorized to service the Honeywell RE220 APU and holds a favorable position in the GTCP36-150RJ APU market. The work will be performed at StandardAero’s Maryville, Tenn. facility.

Duncan Aviation has entered into an agreement with Honeywell to become the sole authorized service center in the United States to provide repair and overhaul of a select list of more than 70 aircraft components. The list includes various instruments, indicators and sensors on a wide variety of airline and special-mission government aircraft.
