Bombardier Aerospace received full certification for its Global 6000 today from the Agencia Nacional de Aviacao Civil in Brazil. The Global 6000 is an updated version of the Global Express XRS that includes Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion avionics and an enhanced-vision system. With this approval, Bombardier’s full line of Learjet, Challenger and Global jets now has Brazilian certification.

VistaJet is set to embark on a 17-city tour of Africa this month as part of the operator’s “Think Global” sales campaign to expand its block charter offerings to emerging markets. Last month, the Switzerland-based company took one of its Bombardier Global 6000s on a 12-city tour of Asia, the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Middle East, just days after announcing a contract with the Canadian airframer for 56 new Globals and options on 86 more.
GE Aviation has named Turkey’s MNG Jet an authorized service center for the CF34-3, which powers the large-cabin Bombardier Challengers (excluding the original 600 series). With this agreement, MNG Jet can perform line maintenance inspections and removal and replacement of engines and engine components.
ExecuJet and Rolls-Royce signed an engine service agreement today that authorizes the ExecuJet Service Center in Dubai to perform engine line maintenance, removals and installations on Rolls-Royce BR710 and AE3007A engines. The BR710 powers the Bombardier Global Express, Global Express XRS, Global 5000 and Global 6000, while the AE3007A powers the Embraer Legacy 600 and 650.

The itinerary began in London on December 2 and has included visits to Hong Kong; Beijing; Vladivostok, Russia; Ulan Bator, Mongolia; Almaty, Kazakhstan; Moscow; Kiev; Delhi; and Mumbai.
The aircraft flew to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia yesterday before the planned to return to London after a stop in Istanbul. The block charter operator is due to conduct a tour of 12 or more African cities in February.

Steve Varsano, founder of private aircraft sales company The Jet Business, took AIN through the selection process for a typical customer based in Dubai and wanting a jet that can fly nonstop to and from London. With a required range of 2,955 nm, The Jet Business database indicated it contained 26 suitable aircraft, such as the Bombardier Challenger 605. To go travel further, the shortlist could be extended to include a Gulfstream G550, Dassault Falcon 7X and Bombardier Global Express.

Based at London-Biggin Hill, Oryx Jet begins operations this month with a new flagship: a Bombardier Global 5000. The company already operates a managed fleet of Hawker, Falcon 50 and Challenger jets, plus a number of helicopters.
