Airbus Helicopters has added personalization options for its EC135 l’Helicoptere par Hermes, which made its debut in 2007. At EBACE Airbus displayed an EC135T2e with an interior by the high-fashion and leather-goods manufacturer, and announced that the enhanced personalization will be available on the upgraded EC135T3/P3 variant.
Customers will be able “to work directly with creative design teams at Hermes for such aspects as color harmonies, upholstery variations and other elements that best suit their tastes and requirements,” said Olivier Lambert, Airbus Helicopters’ senior v-p for sales and customer relations. To keep delivery schedules on track, only one option for minibar, IFE and some other equipment is available.
The EC135 Hermes will sell for $7 to $8.4 million, depending on options and economic conditions. As for expected sales, “This is a very high-end exclusive product, so we don’t necessarily want to sell more than one per year,” said Frederic Lemos, senior v-p for private and business aviation market development.
Airbus said it might create Hermes interiors for other rotorcraft, as well.
