Stop by Frasca’s booth (No. 3749) for an up-close look at the the company’s level-6 flight training device (FTD), built for Era Helicopters crews flying the Eurocopter EC 135. The device is to be delivered to Era Training in Lake Charles, La., as soon as the convention is over.
Featuring Frasca’s TruVision Global visual system in a 200-degree display dome, the EC 135 FTD will join an AS 350B2 FTD at the Era Training Center complex of classrooms, briefing areas and administrative offices. The EC 135 training device is available at the Frasca booth for demonstration and test runs.
John Frasca, Frasca International v-p, commented, “The helicopter training section has become a very important market for us as the demand for helicopter training grows. Our experience in rotary-wing simulation enables us to deliver the best devices available.” Frasca has built helicopter training devices for Bell, Bristow and SilverState Helicopters, PHI, Air Logistics and a number of other organizations. A growing percentage of its total sales volume comes from the helicopter market.
The Urbana, Ill. company has delivered more than 2,000 fixed- and rotary-wing simulation devices ranging from FTDs to full flight simulators to airlines, flight schools, universities and military organizations since its formation 50 years ago.
