February 17, 2010, 9:57 AM

The Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA) has announced that its leadership selection committee is developing a list of viable candidates and conducting preliminary interviews to determine potential candidates for the position of president and lead spokesperson for the organization and its members. “PAMA is looking for an individual who is qualified to be a regular member and who is recognized in the aviation maintenance industry,” Clark Gordon, the organization’s chairman of the board, told AIN. “We would like to identify mature professionals with public relations and presentation skills. In particular, we’re looking for someone who has experience working with both the media and other organizations in the aviation community.” Gordon said the ideal candidate will be an individual with whom PAMA members can identify. “It is someone who deeply understands the industry and the concerns of our members. Someone who believes in PAMA’s mission, vision and strategic plan, and is willing to support and represent those principles.”
