The FAA now has the technology in place to deploy Airspace Flow Programs (AFPs) in support of its Severe Weather Avoidance Plan.

The AFPs will primarily affect traffic flying into the Northeast from domestic origins west of the New York and Boston Air Route Traffic Control Centers.
