The FAA broke ground yesterday on a new $69 million air traffic control tower and Tracon facility at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, replacing the tower that has served the airport since 1988. Construction of the 324-foot facility is expected to be completed in 2014 and it will be equipped with “the latest aviation technology” to prepare for NextGen, the FAA said.
