GE Focuses on Asia-Pacific for Widebody Engine Sales
The Asia-Pacific will be the most important geographic region for sales of GE Aviation widebody engines for the foreseeable future.
The test engine pictured here is a GE9X attached to the inner port pylon of GE's 747-400 testbed aircraft, based at Victorville, California. The GE9X is due to make its first flight on the flying testbed soon, although it was originally planned for December. The engine is destined to power Boeing's new 777X.
