Hawker Pacific has “embarked on a major expansion of services” with the opening of a product support service center at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, Subang, Malaysia. “We have significant plans for Malaysia in 2010,” said John Riggir, senior v-p of Hawker Pacific’s Asia group. The facility is an authorized Hawker service center and is pursuing approval to be a Dassault Falcon line service center to cover the Falcon 2000, 2000EX EASy and 7X. According to Riggir, Hawker Pacific is increasing its investment in Malaysia in response to a growing demand for a local OEM-approved service center “with the expertise and experience to support business aircraft and special-mission operators.” He added it is also a natural development of the company’s existing sales and support activities in the region. “Aircraft ownership is on the increase, traffic through our FBO is on the increase, and we feel the timing is right to enhance our product support services in this important market. We continue to see strong aircraft sales activity so it’s appropriate to strengthen these areas,” he said.
