Honeywell has named India-based Air Works as a regional forward-stocking location partner for key mechanical and avionics parts. The agreement allows Honeywell to expand its support capabilities for Gulfstream and Dassault operators in India and the Middle East by positioning line replaceable units intended for AOG support in Bangalore, India. Paolo Carmassi, president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Honeywell Aerospace, said local support in a region with the growth being experienced there is critical and Honeywell will be providing a variety of products for Gulfstream and Dassault aircraft such as fuel pumps, digital electronic engine controls and display, navigation and guidance units for the company’s integrated avionics systems. “It’s all about speed. Having equipment available in the region makes us more responsive to our customers’ needs,” Pritam Bhavnani, president of Honeywell Aerospace India, told AIN. “Rather than taking five days to ship from the U.S., it takes just 12 hours to get equipment to a customer in the region by having it prepositioned at Air Works.” Air Works will now have the capability to support the Falcon 2000/900/7X and the Gulfstream IV/V/G450/G550.
