JDA Aviation Technology Solutions (JDA) is offering a regulatory affairs training seminar
on February 12 and 13 in Bethesda, Md. It will examine FAA regulatory affairs for airlines, manufacturers and repair station personnel. The course will be taught by former career FAA managers, principal inspectors and legal counsel who will provide recommended practices through real-life examples from their experience with the FAA and as private industry consultants.
>“We developed this program because we firmly believe the single most valuable asset any operator has is its FAA certificate; without it you can’t do anything. An operator will spend millions of dollars on an aircraft and maintenance but does nothing to protect its certificate,” Joe Del Balzo, president and CEO of JDA, told AIN.
The course emphasizes the most effective way to deal with the FAA and better understanding of FAA regulations, and it gives insight into the FAA’s authority. “This seminar explores the principles necessary to protect your certificate. We’ll look at the FAA Flight Standards organization as well as the Flight Standards District Office/Certificate Management Office inspector duties, responsibilities, authority, limitations and acceptable conduct.”
