AIN readers again chose Gulfstream’s large-cabin jets as tops in business jet aftermarket service for newer and older aircraft combined, with an 8.3 overall average. In the 2013 Product Support Survey, Embraer took second place with a rating of 8.2, followed by Bombardier Learjet at 7.9, leapfrogging Cessna, which fell to fourth place this year with an average score of 7.8. Mid-cabin Gulfstreams, Bombardier Challenger, Bombardier Global, Dassault Falcon and Hawker Beechcraft, in this order, rounded out the rest of the jet category.
In the turboprop category, the lineup is the same as last year, with Mitsubishi’s MU-2 at number one in product support with an average score of 9.4. Pilatus’s PC-12 climbed 0.5 points to 7.9, but nonetheless remained in second place, followed by Beechcraft’s King Airs at 7.2, which was up slightly from last year.
The rotorcraft product support rankings saw Bell Helicopter remaining at the top spot, even though its average rating fell to 7.1 from 7.8, followed by second-place AgustaWestland at 6.5 and third-place Sikorsky at 6.3. Eurocopter, which was in third place last year with an average score of 6.7, fell to fourth place with an average rating of 5.5.
