The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has taken delivery of a new AS 350B3 from Eurocopter Canada. It is the seventh to join the Canadian law enforcement force’s fleet of 38 rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft. The RCMP has also exercised its option for an eighth AS 350B3.

Aviall and Rolls-Royce have renewed their distribution contract for Rolls-Royce 250 engine parts. The original contract was due to expire Dec. 31, 2009, but the two companies recently extended the contract to 2019.

Era Helicopters of Lake Charles, La., announced that it has signed a 20-aircraft order with Eurocopter. The contract is for eight EC 145 intermediate-twin-turbine helicopters, eight EC 135 light-twin helicopters and four AS 350B2 single-turbine helicopters.

Merlin Simulation of Boulder, Colo., recently launched a new level-3 Robinson R22 simulator with an aerodynamic model that president Ken Zimmerman called, “The best in the world.” The simulator features a 220-degree field of view that Zimmerman said gives excellent peripheral views.
