Aeronautical radio and audio communications systems manufacturer Technisonic Industries (Booth No. 3433) of Ontario, Canada, is launching the TDFM-9100, the latest addition to its line of P25 Phase I- and Phase II-compliant radios. Technisonic introduced its TDFM 9000 series–anchored by the TDFM-9000 and -9300–at Heli-Expo last year.
The new -9100 was developed to fulfill the growing need of EMS and special-mission operators. The company claims the 9100 is the only two-module, Phase II airborne radio to offer complete P25 bandwidth capability. The compact unit is Dzus panel-mounted and completely self-contained, requiring no remote mount box. The 9100 “keeps Technisonic’s longstanding commitment to our customers by providing this next-generation technology to our existing TDFM-6000 operators,” said Jim Huddock, the company’s business development manager.
The TDFM-9100 follows the same design and scalability of all 9000 series models, enabling customers to define the number, style and bandwidths needed for their particular missions, and is available in either a single- or dual-transceiver configuration. All three 9000 series will be on display at the company’s booth. The -9100 is priced in the mid-$20,000 range, fully loaded. The larger -9000 and -9300, designed for law enforcement applications, are priced from about $30,000 to $80,000 depending on the modules and options selected.
