State defense orders are going to subside, and the industry is looking to replace them with civil orders.
The MC-21 narrowbody is expected to account for some 70 annual deliveries in Russia, according to a recent forecast that calls for the country to produce 200 passenger aircraft annually. The aircraft is expected to be certified this year, and UAC has plans to use indigenous parts as U.S. sanctions have placed limits on some components.
