<p>Raytheon Aircraft’s financials for the second quarter showed a healthy increase with net sales of $627 million, up from $562 million for that period last year. Also on the positive side of the ledger, the Wichita-based company delivered 49 aircraft, 14 more than were delivered in the second quarter a year ago. On the other hand, the aircraft backlog at the end of the second quarter was valued at $2.2 billion, down from $4.7 billion in June last year. Backlog was affected by the consolidation of Flight Options and the cancellation of a NetJets order for 50 Hawker Horizons, resulting in a combined backlog reduction valued at $1.729 billion.</p>
