Last October, the 57th Fighter Group restaurant opened its doors again at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport in Atlanta.

The restaurant, designed to look like a European farmhouse damaged during World War II bombing, is located on the southern end of the airport’s runway
and offers patrons a clear view of activity on the runway from the dining room, lounge or patio. Diners can listen to tower communications using headsets available inside the restaurant. Pat Epps, president of FBO Epps Aviation, took on the challenge of reopening the restaurant.
