Business aviation is on its way to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., to join colleagues, vendors, manufacturers and friends at the annual NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition. Pre-show events begin this weekend and the exhibit halls open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, immediately following the opening-day general session at 8:30 a.m. in the south hall.

Featured speakers at the opener include Rep. William Shuster (R-Pa.) and NTSB acting chairman Chris Hart. A second-day general session on October 22 at 10:30 a.m. will feature FAA assistant administrator for NextGen Edward Bolton, Delaware Gov. Jack Markell (D) and political commentators James Carville and Mary Matalin. Attendees are invited to NBAA’s coffee social at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, which will be held at the indoor static display in the convention center’s Hall B.

While it’s no surprise by now that Gulfstream launched the new G500 and G600 on Tuesday, showgoers will be able to see a mockup of the G600 in Orlando. Meanwhile, some 100 aircraft will be at the static display hosted by Showalter Aviation at Orlando Executive Airport, with the Bombardier Learjet 85, production-interior-outfitted Cessna Citation Latitude and Embraer Legacy 450 making their debut.

The AIN team is already arriving in Orlando to provide comprehensive coverage of the show. Our NBAA Convention News will publish three daily print issues at the show starting Tuesday morning. AINtv will begin on-site broadcasting on Monday, and AINalerts will publish daily afternoon issues from Monday through Thursday. In addition, look for web-exclusive stories, podcasts and videocasts on AINonline starting this weekend, as well as frequent Twitter and Facebook updates. Also keep up to date with the latest show news with our AINonline app for iOS devices. Absolutely no one covers the NBAA Convention better than AIN.

This year at NBAA in Orlando, AIN will host the 2nd Annual #AINPhotoContest. To enter, shoot photos from NBAA and post them to Facebook or Twitter with the contest hashtag. Our editors will vote on the best photo and the winner will receive a Garmin VIRB digital video camera from AIN Publications!
