For the third year in a row, Embraer's Phenom 300 is the world's best-selling business jet. The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer delivered 70 of the light jets last year, 20 more than the Challenger 350 runner-up, according to 2015 aircraft shipment data from GAMA. (Photo: Embraer)

The Embraer Phenom 300 was the most delivered business jet last year, marking the third consecutive year that the aircraft has taken this crown. Embraer delivered 70 of the light jets last year, besting the next-best-selling jet—the super-midsize Challenger 350—by two units, according to individual aircraft shipment data from GAMA. (AIN was unable to compare the Phenom 300 with the number of individual large-cabin Gulfstream or Bombardier deliveries since both manufacturers submit combined data for several models to GAMA.)

The Phenom 300 also beat its closest light-jet competitor, the Cessna Citation M2, by nearly 30 shipments, GAMA data shows. However, Cessna outsold Embraer in the entire light-jet category, at 97 aircraft (41 M2s, 23 CJ3+s and 33 CJ4s) versus Embraer’s 82 (70 Phenom 300s and 12 Phenom 100Es).

Embraer Executive Jets president and CEO Marco Tulio Pellegrini said, “To have the most-delivered business jet in the world for the third consecutive year is a true recognition that we have achieved our commitment to design game-changing products to meet operators’ needs.”

To date, 320 Phenom 300s are flying in 28 countries and the fleet has accumulated nearly 300,000 flight hours.
