Piaggio Aerospace appointed Saudi company Al Saif Trading Establishment, an Al Saif Group subsidiary, as its marketing agent for the Avanti EVO in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Iraq, the Italian aircraft manufacturer announced yesterday at Farnborough 2016.

Al Saif Group also converted an option for a second Avanti EVO in medevac configuration to be delivered next year. This follows an order Al Saif inked last year for a VIP-configured EVO, which will begin charter operations and demonstration flights by September.

“We are very confident in the Avanti EVO market potential in the Middle East,” said Al Saif Group president and CEO Mohammed Khalifa Al Saif. “The Avanti EVO is extremely effective, since it delivers the performance figures of a light jet with very low fuel emissions…and a perfect combination of lavish Italian style, comfort and best-in-class operational performance, with an excellent cost-benefit ratio.”

Al Saif Trading Establishment will also acquire from Piaggio Aerospace a range of after-sales services, including training for two pilots and a maintenance technician, with an option to enroll in a dedicated spare parts support program.
