The recently renamed International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA), which has laid out an ambitious agenda to expand its reach globally and undertake standards and accreditation initiatives, has hired industry veteran Wayne Starling as executive director to steer this growth. Starling has served on the board for the organization and also has been on the National Aviation Finance Association (NAFA) board and the NBAA Leadership Council.
Reporting to IADA chairman Brian Proctor, Starling will provide strategic direction and support for the organization formally known as the National Aircraft Resale Association. He brings a nearly 20-year aircraft finance background, along with decades of sales and marketing experience, to his new role. Most recently he was senior v-p and national sales manager for PNC Aviation Finance.
"Wayne's vast expertise in sales, finance, and strategic business development will help guide IADA and our committee structure as the organization develops third-party accreditation, certification improvements, and an unparalleled international platform to share information on the best aircraft available anywhere," Proctor said.
"This is a very exciting time at IADA with all of our initiatives to improve aircraft transactions for buyers and sellers," said Starling. "I am looking forward to assisting the organization and its members in realizing our strategic objectives."
