Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

Boca Raton, Florida-based charter broker&nbsp;and jet card provider Airstream Jets (ASJ)&nbsp;is expanding to the Northeast U.S. with the opening of an office at Signature Flight Support’s south terminal at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey.&nbsp;

 


The move to add an office is designed to help accommodate increasing demand for ASJ’s new Distance Card, the company said. ASJ also pointed to a rapidly growing customer base and said its revenues are on pace to triple those of last year. Sold in increments of $25,000, the Distance Card offers mileage-based pricing, using an algorithm that the company said provides flexibility and cost transparency.

 


Debbie Higgins, who has more than 30 years of business aviation experience, will head&nbsp;the new office as president of operations. Higgins’s background includes managerial experience in flight departments in both the South Florida and New York areas.&nbsp;She also founded Aero Education Academy in 2017 to train and mentor future business aviation professionals. Additional staff will be brought on board at the Teterboro site throughout 2019, ASJ added.

 


&nbsp;“In selecting our new office location, we felt it was important for us to have a presence in the heart of the world’s leading financial center,” Higgins said.
