A lifelong aviation enthusiast who joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in 2007, Curt came to&nbsp;the publication&nbsp;from the broadcast industry where he was a national science and technology television reporter and producer. He writes on the FBO field, aviation finance, and sustainable aviation and occasionally contributes to&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;sister publication&nbsp;Business Jet Traveler. Curt was a member of the AINtv reporting staff that won the 2008 Aerospace Journalist of the Year award for Best Airshow Daily. That same year, he was a finalist for another AJOYA award. He earned an AJOYA for Best Business Aviation Submission in 2018 and was a finalist in that category in 2021. He received the National Air Transportation Association’s&nbsp; Aviation Journalist Award in 2012 and won a Pegasus Sapphire Business Aviation Award for outstanding journalism in 2021.
Before joining AIN, Curt worked with&nbsp;Consumer Reports’ television division, CRTV, and for several local television news staffs. An honors graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 1995. Curt lives in New York State with his wife and two young sons.

Business Jet, the lone independent, family-owned FBO at Dallas Love Field (KDAL), has completed construction on two new hangars,&nbsp;its 18th and 19th, on its 53-acre campus. Totaling 70,000 sq ft of space, the new&nbsp;pair—built over the span of 15 months for $24 million—has 28-foot-high doors and can shelter ultra-long-range business jets.
The two hangars—which bring the complex to more than 475,000 sq ft of aircraft storage and office space—are intended to fill different roles. The west hangar will support a single tenant with a custom floor plan, climate control, and upscale interior finishes. It will also feature the first tip-up canopy-style door on the Business Jet campus. Meanwhile, the east hangar is designed for multiple flight departments, with seven individual offices and shop space.
Both will offer epoxy-coated floors, energy-efficient LED lighting, large ceiling fans, radiant tube heating, electric vehicle charging, and integrated utility pedestals with electricity, compressed air, and water.
“We’re proud of the way this development seamlessly blends with our existing hangars, rounding out the northeast corner of the airport,” explained company CEO and partner Chris Wright. “We’re also excited to say the new space is 100% leased, reaffirming strong demand for hangar space at Dallas Love Field.”
