Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

The Bombardier Global 8000 fleet continues to spread its reach with the first African delivery of the ultra-long-range twinjet now completed. The Mach 0.95 aircplane was handed over to BUA Group, a multinational company based in Nigeria that has interests in cement, food, oil and gas, energy, infrastructure, ports and terminals, and real estate.
BUA will use its 8,000-nm jet for its long-range travel requirements. Bombardier noted that this range capability will enable nonstop connections from Lagos to destinations such as Los Angeles, Perth, and Tokyo.
“The Global 8000 offers the range, speed, comfort, and reliability required to support our international business activities,” said BUA Group founder and chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu. “For a group with international operations and commitments, the ability to reach more destinations nonstop while maintaining comfort and productivity on board is an important advantage.”
Bombardier president and CEO Éric Martel called the delivery a milestone for both organizations, building on a relationship that has grown over the years.&nbsp;“The Global 8000 represents the third new Bombardier aircraft delivered to BUA Group, underscoring the group’s continued confidence in Bombardier’s products, people and global support network,” added Bombardier regional v-p Hani Haddadin.
