Standard Aero is planning a $5.5 million, 10,000-sq-ft expansion for its existing 120,000-sq-ft Maryville, Tenn. aircraft maintenance facility, according to Paul Soubry, president and CEO.

In addition to the new floor space, the expansion includes a new test cell and access to existing cleaning, NDT and machine shops. Authorized to provide maintenance on several powerplants, the shop became a Pratt & Whitney Canada designated overhaul facility for the PW610/615 earlier this year. Tooling is under way in anticipation of initial service next year.
