Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

Skyservice Business Aviation is purchasing a stake in Fontainebleau Aviation’s FBO at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport (KOPF) as well as its facility under development at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (KFLL). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but the investment is subject to customary approvals.
The investment expands Skyservice’s operations into South Florida, giving it a foothold in two of the top 20 business aviation markets in the U.S. At KOPF, Fontainebleau's facility spans 350,000 sq ft of hangar space, executive terminal, and office facilities. At KFLL, the FBO provider has begun building 80,000 sq ft of private hangars and a 35,000-sq-ft private terminal with executive office space.
“This is an exciting milestone for Skyservice as we extend our footprint and renowned capabilities to Florida, which has always been a top destination for our customers,” said Skyservice president and CEO Benjamin Murray. “Fontainebleau is an iconic brand that aligns perfectly with our values of service excellence, safety, and exceptional amenities.”
With the Fontainebleau additions, Skyservice has a base at 12 airports across North America.
Jeffrey Soffer, Fontainebleau CEO and development chairman, added that Skyservice “is the ideal steward and partner for the next phase of growth at OPF, FLL, and other locations in the United States as we focus on growing our portfolio of premier destinations and unique luxury experiences.”
