Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

Bombardier manufactures a variety of business aircraft models, provides engineering, and aircraft maintenance services.

Bombardier has continued to make strides on its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals, meeting or exceeding targets ahead of schedule, the company shared in its recently released 2024 Sustainability Report.
In the report, Bombardier president and CEO Éric Martel called 2024 “a year marked by steady progress and significant achievements in our pursuit of sustainability excellence.” Among the goals obtained was the publishing of environmental product declarations (EPDs) for all of its in-production aircraft, becoming the first business jet airframer to do so.
Bombardier began this target in 2020, publishing its first EPD on the Global 7500. This marked a first for business jets. It had set a 2025 goal of releasing them for all of its in-production models and reached that target in March last year.
The Canadian manufacturer also made progress on research of sustainable technologies, such as its blended-wing project, and increasing its use of book-and-claim and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) where possible. This also included flight-testing a Global 6500 with 100% SAF.
Bombardier's greenhouse gas emissions, as measured in thousands of tonnes of CO2, lowered to 78.7 in 2024, compared with 102.5 in its 2019 baseline year. This marked a 23% improvement.
On the workforce front, Bombardier noted that its employee engagement score also strengthened to 80%, compared with 73% in 2022. Last year’s score exceeded the company target of 75%.
These improvements came as Bombardier increased its revenues from $6.1 billion in 2021 to $8.7 billion last year, and aircraft deliveries from 120 in 2021 to 146 in 2024. At the same time, Bombardier’s workforce has grown from 13,800 in 2021 to 18,800 in 2024.
