Protect your investment today—position your aircraft for the future.

West Star Aviation is a premier authorized channel partner for Honeywell Avionics Programs.

Honeywell is offering a DU-875 Extended Program at no additional cost with a three-year enrollment in MSP-Avionics. The DU-875 program provides coverage for the upgrade of DU-870 CRT displays to the DU-875 LCD displays upon failure, allowing customers to transition to the newer LCD technology without the additional cost of the display upgrade.

Modern avionics are among the most valuable systems in a business aircraft, and protecting that investment requires more than simply reacting when a component fails.

West Star Aviation helps operators take a more strategic approach to avionics lifecycle planning by evaluating available OEM coverage programs, identifying obsolescence risks, and helping customers transition aging equipment to newer technology with fewer unexpected costs.

How the DU-875 Extended Coverage Program Works

Honeywell is offering the DU-875 Extended Program at no additional cost for qualifying operators who commit to a three-year enrollment in MSP-Avionics.

Under the program, when an eligible DU-870 fails, the operator may receive an unlike exchange to a DU-875 LCD display without paying the additional cost normally associated with the display upgrade.

The program is available to both new and existing MSP-Avionics customers.

Existing MSP operators will need to execute an addendum to their current coverage agreement to receive the extended benefit.

Key Program Benefits

For eligible operators, the program provides several advantages:

Reduced risk of large, unplanned display replacement costs

Operators enrolling in the program are required to remain enrolled in MSP-Avionics for at least three years. Early termination may result in an applicable settlement fee.

Important Eligibility and Program Considerations

As with any avionics coverage program, applicability should be reviewed carefully before enrollment.

Important notes:

Pre-existing DU-870 failures are not eligible for the DU-875 unlike exchange.

The operator is responsible for validating applicability and obtaining and funding any required STC associated with the exchange.

The program does not apply to operators covered through certain OEM backstop arrangements or NetJets programs.

DU-875 unlike exchanges under this program are currently available through June 30, 2029.

Operators should also confirm aircraft configuration, display part number, STC applicability, and existing coverage before planning an exchange.

Eligible DU-875 Variants

The following DU-875 part-number variants are currently eligible under the program:

K9321060A04

K9321060A12

K9321062A11

K9321062A12

The K9321062A01 variant is not available through the program because it is no longer produced by the vendor and has not had an established exchange history.

Additional exclusions may apply, including units with pre-existing failures and certain components that have previously been repaired, modified, or altered outside approved program parameters.

Why Avionics Coverage Planning Matters

Avionics warranty and maintenance programs can be complex. Coverage levels, enrollment terms, exchange provisions, exclusions, and aircraft configuration requirements can vary significantly.

West Star Aviation helps operators evaluate not only whether a program is available, but also whether it makes sense for the aircraft’s current condition, long-term ownership plans, and expected operating profile.

West Star Aviation: A Premier Avionics Program Resource

West Star Aviation is a premier dealer for Honeywell MSP-Avionics and Mechanical Programs as well as Collins CASP, giving operators access to experienced support across multiple major avionics platforms.

West Star’s avionics teams can assist with:

West Star believes avionics aftermarket coverage should be straightforward and transparent. Operators should not face unnecessary complexity or unexpected cost simply because an aircraft is serviced at a different facility.

Protect Today. Plan for Tomorrow.

The DU-875 Extended Coverage Program provides operators with an opportunity to protect against a known avionics obsolescence issue while creating a defined transition path to newer LCD display technology.

For aircraft still operating DU-870 displays, now is the time to evaluate eligibility, review existing coverage, and determine whether enrollment makes sense before a failure occurs.
