Liebherr-Aerospace is investing in technology it believes will help shape the next generation of business jets, including ways to reduce the size and weight of components and increase electrification. The French manufacturer is exhibiting equipment such as a new air conditioning pack, modular electromechanical actuators, and a nose landing gear this week at NBAA-BACE 2026.
For the Dassault Aviation Falcon 6X, Liebherr-Aerospace developed a complete integrated air management system that cools the cabin and flight deck. The equipment combines bleed air and air conditioning components with cabin pressurization, air distribution, ice protection, and supplemental cooling.
The Toulouse-based company has also produced a volatile organic compound and ozone converter to remove ozone and unwanted airborne contaminants from cabin air. This technology is already in service on several business aircraft.
The nose gear on display at its show booth this week is the unit Liebherr-Aerospace developed for the Embraer Legacy 650. Its portfolio also includes actuation for gear extension, retraction, and steering, as well as position and warning systems, wheels, brakes, sensors, and cockpit controls.
Earlier this year, the company confirmed plans to increase investment in developing smaller-scale electromechanical actuators that could be used for eVTOL aircraft, as well as business jets and helicopters. Its strategy is to reduce hardware scale for installation in smaller spaces and combine an appropriate power-to-weight ratio with high reliability.
In the U.S. market, the European group supports customers through its Liebherr-Aerospace Saline subsidiary in Michigan. This operation provides repair services, technical support, and spares distribution and is supplemented by another service facility near Montreal.

News and developments about everything that goes into the cabin of an aircraft, from floor coverings to headliners, with a special emphasis on in-flight entertainment, communications and other electronics for passengers. If it is in the cabin of an aircraft, it’s covered here.
