The Corporate Aircraft Association (CAA), known for its program that provides fuel pricing discounts to its Part 91 aircraft operator members, has inked an agreement with Jet Aviation for CAA member-exclusive maintenance discounts at the FBO/MRO provider’s Europe, Middle East, and Asia facilities.
“At CAA, our commitment has always been to deliver meaningful value and savings to our members, both on the ground and in the air,” said association president and CEO David Scobey. “Our new partnership with Jet Aviation Maintenance International expands that commitment beyond fuel by providing CAA members with access to world-class aviation maintenance services and exclusive member benefits.”
Jet Aviation aircraft services include scheduled maintenance, drop-in line maintenance, pre- and post-flight inspections, worldwide AOG support, and aircraft inspections via AI drone. The discounts apply to Jet Aviation’s facilities in Basel and Geneva, Switzerland; Vienna, Austria; Dubai; and Singapore.
“Across our global network, we are committed to working with our partners to offer customers a seamless aircraft operational experience,” said David Best, Jet Aviation’s senior v-p of regional operations and general manager for the Americas. “We are happy to continue to grow our partnership with CAA, and work together to support CAA members across their business aviation needs in the U.S. and beyond.”
Jennifer Zecchino, CAA’s director of marketing, expects the agreement to eventually expand to include Jet Aviation’s U.S. service hubs as well.
“It offers more value to our members, and what we want to get is that value in this industry; that we’re working harder for them on the fuel side, on the maintenance side,” she told AIN. “So not only are you getting a fuel discount and saving at the FBOs, but you're also getting discounts with our preferred partners as well.”
She noted that the association, which was founded three decades ago, now lists more than 13,500 members, accounting for approximately 70% of the Part 91 market. It has agreements with approximately 320 FBOs in the U.S. (including Hawaii), the Caribbean, and Europe who have agreed to provide CAA’s members with discounts of at least 10 cents per gallon.
Zecchino added that some FBOs have found that being a CAA-preferred provider has boosted traffic, and as a result are offering even larger discounts to attract more aircraft.
The association charges $500 a year per tail number for membership, but as Zecchino pointed out, on a larger aircraft, that cost could be recouped in just one or two fuel stops.
“All we require is that you’re Part 91,” she explained. “Just provide the documentation that you are, and for the first 90 days, you can try CAA out for free. See the fuel pricing, see your savings, and if there’s value to your flight department, try before you buy.”
An interactive jet fuel application is available as well to help members with their trip planning. “They can actually put in their flight plan and their entire route along the way, and find those CAA-preferred [locations] for their fuel stops so they get those guaranteed fuel savings,” said Zecchino.
“By helping our members reduce operating costs, minimize downtime, and keep their aircraft flying safely and efficiently, we continue to strengthen the value of CAA membership,” Scobey added.
