<p>Part 66 of&nbsp;Australia's&nbsp;Civil Aviation Safety Regulations details&nbsp;standards for the issue of aircraft engineer&nbsp;licenses, ratings,&nbsp;and training&nbsp;requirements.&nbsp;On occasion throughout each calendar year,&nbsp;miscellaneous and editorial amendments to Part 66&nbsp;that&nbsp;do not substantially alter existing regulatory arrangements&nbsp;are proposed.&nbsp;A current proposal would&nbsp;clarify&nbsp;the basic knowledge and competency requirements for applicants who are applying for a Category C license&nbsp;and&nbsp;updates type rating information,&nbsp;including the addition of new aircraft types and new type certificate holders to the aircraft type ratings lists. Comments are due Nov. 17, 2021.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
